Bio

I’m Tony Astuhuaman, a Computer Science graduate from Missouri State University in May 2024. This Fall, I am pursuing a Master’s in Natural and Applied Science with a focus on Material Science and Computer Science.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked in two labs: the Security and Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL), where I focused on computer vision and virtual technology research, and the Computational Learning Systems Lab (CLS), which concentrates on bioinformatics and data science research.

In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to delve into the principles of AI by taking CS221 at Stanford University. Thanks to these experiences, I published my first paper at IEEE CIBCB 2024 and won the Best Paper Award. This Fall, I will be a Graduate Assistant (GA) in the PAMS department, where I will focus my research on drug design using diffusion models.

Some of my interests include participating in hackathons, such as HackHarvard (Top 3 in the Accessibility Track) and the UC Berkeley AI Hackathon (two-time participant), and exploring the applications of computer vision and artificial intelligence in various fields such as biomedicine, computer vision, and drug design.
